Joachim Low Announces His 23-Man Germany Squad; Leroy Sane Left Out

To Germany first, and manager Jogi Low has sprung a big surprise by omitting Manchester City winger Leroy Sane from his final squad.

The 58-year-old named his final 23-man squad on Monday and announced that Premier League Young Player of the Year Sane, along with Bernd Leno, Nils Peterson and Jonathan Tah, would not be making the cut.

"It was a very close decision between him and Julian Brandt, which was made in favour of Brandt", Low explained, as quoted by the Daily Metro.

The reigning champions also included Manuel Neuer, who has only played one game since injuring himself in September 2017, on the train.

"Leroy is a huge talent".

Low reportedly said that it was a very close call between Brandt and Sane - with Brandt getting the go ahead to pack his bags - and this is the reason.

Israel and Hamas are bitter enemies and have fought three wars since the group seized control of Gaza in 2007. The Palestinian Health Ministry says a woman was killed by Israeli fire during a protest at the Gaza Strip.

"He has not arrived in global matches yet. If it was a 100m race, it would have been a photo finish".

It remains to be seen how Leroy Sane reacts to the omission from Low's Germany squad, though smart money would say he'll be a likely starter in 2020, when the Euro's takes place across multiple European cities across the continent.

"There are certainly easier days in the life of a national team head coach than the day where I have to send four payers home".

"It's like being at the airport check-in counter en route to Moscow and you are not allowed to board the plane".

Defending champions Germany will begin their campaign against Mexico on June 17 before facing Sweden (June 23) and South Korea (June 27).
