The Switch gets Minecraft's Bedrock upgrade next month

Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch edition of Minecraft will be replaced by a new version built on the universal Minecraft Bedrock Engine, in June.

You can use multiplayer co-op and race modes with your Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers or indulge in Solo and Hardcore campaign modes with plenty of unlockable secrets.

Minecraft is one of the best-selling video games of all time, selling more than 144 million worldwide across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch.

Included in the shiny new in-game store are worlds, skins and textures. In addition, Minecraft will support the Nintendo Switch Online paid membership when it launches in September.

N. Korea to hold 'ceremony' for dismantling nuke test site
North Korea has announced it will dismantle its nuclear weapons testing site in less than two weeks, according to state media. The North Korean Foreign Ministry affirms that, following the ceremony, the site will be "completely closed".

The Minecraft Bedrock update will introduce a variety of features, most notably, cross-platform play between Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS and PC players. The news comes about a month after Microsoft confirming Xbox Live achievements carried over onto the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft. Will you be playing this updated version of Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch?

Players will be able to make purchases safely and securely with MINECOINs, and all purchases can be enjoyed across every platform on which the Minecraft Marketplace is available.

It also contains all released content, including the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack exclusive to Nintendo systems and all DLC.

We've had a lot of requests to bring The Fall to the Nintendo Switch; it's a great fit for the system.
