Israeli raids on 'Iranians' in Syria

Israeli raids on 'Iranians' in Syria

Israel's defense minister is urging President Bashar Assad to rid Syria of Iranian forces, warning their presence endangers his country.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron have called on Israel and Iran to exercise restraint in the Middle East to avoid further escalation of hostilities in the region, a German government spokesman said on Thursday. The problem, however, is that the Iranians are basically determined to build in Syria what they have produced in Lebanon with Hezbollah and 120,000 rockets.

Iran on Friday said Syria had the right to defend itself against aggression from Israel and accused others of remaining silent over the attacks on Tehran's key regional ally, in a statement reaffirming its insistance it had no role in an attack on Israeli forces in the Golan Heights.

"The worldwide community needs to prevent Iran's Quds Force from entrenching itself in Syria".

Israel blames Hezbollah for attacks on its interests overseas including in Argentina where the 1992 bombing of the Israeli embassy kills 29 people and a 1994 attack on a Jewish community centre leaves 85 dead.

He said Israel will not stand for Iran turning Syria into a missile-launching ground to attack his country, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Syrian Army air defences shot down score of Israeli missiles targeted at the Syrian border.

Israel has called on the U.N. Security Council and secretary-general to condemn Iran's attack on its positions in the Golan Heights, occupied and annexed by Israel.

With Casey out, Ujiri finally puts himself into the line of fire
Ujiri said he spent "countless hours" evaluating the team in the days following this year's defeat before deciding to fire Casey. The conference finals coaches will weigh in, Rick Carlisle, too, and somewhere, someone will track down a Van Gundy.

On the other hand, Israel has been constantly stressing that it will take all necessary steps to prevent Iran from setting up "forward bases" in Syria to be used to attack the Jewish state.

On Thursday Israel claimed it had struck nearly all of Iran's military capabilities in Syria after the rocket attack on the Golan Heights, which Israel annexed in 1981. Le Maire asked. "Or do we want to say we have our economic interests, we consider we will continue to do trade with Iran?"

A Syrian war monitor says a wave of Israeli strikes on suspected military positions in Syria this week killed 42 people.

On the creation of Israel in 1948, the shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, establishes close ties with the new country.

However, Donald Trump called Iran the world's "leading state sponsor of terror" when he announced America pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Deal last week.

"The silence of other countries and of global organizations on such aggressive moves by the Zionist regime is the equivalent of giving a green light and encouraging it to continue with its aggressive initiatives", Qasemi said.

Russian Federation sent forces to Syria to back President Bashar Assad in 2015. It was one of the largest Israeli military operations in recent years and its biggest such raid against Iranian targets, the military said.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the strikes, saying 28 Israeli F-15 and F-16 warplanes had fired 60 missiles at Iranian troop concentrations and air-defense systems inside Syria.
