Paul George Undergoes Surgery On Left Knee

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George underwent a successful left knee scope, the team announced Wednesday.

George posted an image on his Instagram story prior to the surgery taking place on Wednesday with the caption "Good Spirits".

Arthroscopy involves inserting a miniature camera and surgical instruments into the knee, and can involve a number of different exploratory or fix procedures. Arthroscopy often shortens the recovery time from knee surgery. He returned after the one-game absence and played in all of the Thunder's remaining contests.

Katy Perry Extends 'Olive Branch' Letter To Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has hinted that her long-running feud with fellow pop star Katy Perry may have ended. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict.

In 79 games (all starts) this past National Basketball Association season, George had averages of 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.04 steals in 36.6 minutes per game.

Oklahoma City forward Patrick Patterson had a knee scoped last August 10. The season did not end well for George, however, as the Thunder were eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Utah Jazz. He also missed a game earlier this season with left knee soreness. He is expected to opt out of his $20.7 million player option for next season and become a free agent.

The more skeptical of the two timelines will have George returning to the court near the start of free agency.
