Another day, another burger, and one major McMilestone for one man. Don Gorske, 64, recently downed his 30,000th Big Mac from McDonald's.

Don Gorske was honoured by the restaurant chain after he scoffed down the milestone burger in the Fox Valley, Wisconsin branch of Maccies this Friday. He made a promise to his mum who made him promise not to eat a Big Mac on the day she died on 27 April 1988. That's a hell of a lot of burgers to eat.

Guinness World Records has recognised Gorske for the most Big Macs consumed since 2016, when his tally was 28,788.

But it's not just eating Big Macs that Don loves - he's passionate about everything surrounding them too.

We could have gathered that much.

Rause acknowledged that the customer has developed a "passion for Big Macs." .

He made the ensuing three-foot putt to take a two-shot lead, becoming the only player to birdie the hole in the closing round. If Day was expecting a challenge from some of the other high-profile players in the field, it never materialised.

The burger lover still remembers his first: "At the time it was the only McDonald's in town and I had just gotten my driver's license", he told local paper, FDL Reporter.

'This one is a biggie for me, something I have been looking forward to, ' Don says. "So we'll have to see how I'm doing then, you know?"

Mr Gorske keeps receipts to prove his burger bites, and has been eating them regularly since 1972. He keeps almost everything, although he lost about 7,000 items when a tornado ripped the roof off his house.

It's also a new record for the most Big Macs ever consumed. That includes a 1982 day in which a snowstorm shut down the restaurant, as well as the day his mom died in 1998.

"People make fun of me, but it never bothered me", Gorske said. He says his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal. According to his own calculations, there have only been roughly eight days in that time when he didn't eat a Big Mac.
