Jones makes 34 saves as Sharks tie series against Golden Knights

The team is Las Vegas' first major sports franchise, and defying some predictions, locals have filled the stands game after game. Goalie Probables: Getting the nod for the Golden Knights will be Marc-Andre Fleury and the Sharks will counter with Martin Jones. He made key saves early on and did not give the energetic Vegas crowd anything to cheer about for most of the period.

Overall it was a very evenly matched period with both teams trading scoring chances both ways.

San Jose scored three goals in Game 5 and center Logan Couture played a role in all of them by dishing out three assists.

Jones made a huge save near halfway through the third period after Smith received a rebound in front of the of the San Jose net, but Jones jumped out of the crease to make a chest save.

Minutes later, Vegas a powerplay of their own and they executed it nicely to extend the lead.

"When you play a team five times in a row you get to know some of their tendencies and they know some of our tendencies", Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said.

Vegas lost for the first time in the playoffs after winning their first five games by a 14-3 margin, including a 7-0 victory in Game 1. "They're going to come out strong but we have to match that intensity and battle". We had some looks, we had some chances.

Vegas tacked on two more goals in the second period, increasing their lead to 3-0 and making it look as if another blowout was set to take place.

She was reassured by staffers, however, that her nomination was still on track and was talked out of withdrawing. Since May 3, the White House has been releasing many positive testimonials of Haspel, according to CBS News .

Not only was that the end of the night for Martin Jones, it also seemed like the night was over for his team as well.

William Karlsson scored twice for Vegas, while Nate Schmidt got his first of the post-season to tie the score at 3-3 with 6 1/2 minutes left in the third period.

LAS VEGAS - Two days after opening the second round with their worst game of the playoffs, the San Jose Sharks responded with a gritty performance.

Jones may still be trying to figure out how Haula scored, as he threw the puck at the net from the goal line and it somehow slipped through to make it 3-0 midway through the second.

Vegas came out with much better energy to start off the game. They would have loved to steal that one, but they didn't and are now looking to stave off elimination. They could have easily let this game slip away if Fleury wasn't as sharp in net for them early on.

Vegas has been able to limit the Sharks offensive chances because of the balance in their defense. "That's the way the game is going to be and that's the way this series has gone".

And the weekend will wrap up with another Golden Knights game on Sunday night.
