Trump vows to protect gun ownership rights

In the same speech to the National Rifle Association (NRA) in Dallas, Texas, the U.S. president criticised the level of knife crime in London, comparing one of the city's hospitals to a "war zone".

Manuel Oliver said the gun reform movement started after Parkland has gained more momentum than those that occurred after previous mass shootings for two reasons: improved technology social media and the impatience of the young activists.

During a speech in Dallas in Texas on Friday, May 4, Trump reiterated his strong backing for the gun rights and commitment towards the mid-term elections. The Secret Service is telling attendees at the NRA's annual meeting that they do not have a right to carry their guns into the hall when the President or the Vice President are speaking.

The French ambassador to the United States, Gérard Araud, tweeted: "The statistics of the people killed by guns don't convince France to change its guns laws". They're getting used to that.

What did Trump say exactly?

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution states that the "right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed".

In November, May rebuked Trump for retweeting anti-Islamic posts by the far-right fringe group Britain First. Emmanuel Domenach wrote: "Go f*ck yourself (you can use a gun if you want)".

"4.88 per 100000 murdered in USA per annum, 0.92 per 100000 in UK". "About a quarter of what we see in our practice is knife and gun injury".

Adam Langleben, former Barnet Labour councillor, said Mr Corbyn should still come to Barnet despite it not being a victory parade. Mr Corbyn, who was at the count this afternoon (Friday) at the Sobell Centre, said: "I'm very proud of the results we've seen".

London suffered a spike in knife crime early this year, and saw more murders during February and March than NY.

However, the comparison is less revealing that it may seem: New York City has experienced a dramatic drop in murders over the past decade, and its murder rate is now at a historic low.

Last June, Trump criticised Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, hours after a deadly terrorist attack, based on a selective and misleading quotation. The interview with Griffiths was subsequently written up by the British tabloid the Daily Mail and the US -based website Breitbart.

President Donald Trump has arrived in Dallas, where he will speak to the annual gathering of the National Rifle Association. "Gunshot wounds are at least twice as lethal as knife injuries and more hard to fix", Brohi said in the statement on Saturday.

We also believe that patriotic people can come together to find solutions to end needless gun violence.

There was also anger from families affected by knife crime.

Trump quoted comments from a federal judge who suggested on Friday that the special counsel was aiming to hurt Trump by prosecuting Manafort. "They took their time and gunned them down one by one", Trump added.

He referred specifically to an attack by militants at the Bataclan concert hall, where 90 of the 130 victims of the Paris bomb and shooting rampage died. And that's one of the things I like about him - he listens to a lot of ideas.
