Social AR games are coming to Snapchat

Social AR games are coming to Snapchat

Today, we're introducing Snappables - new Lenses for playing augmented reality games with your friends!

Snappables live right where Lenses do.

To play the Snappable game, select one of the game lenses and then follow the on-screen instructions given in the game.

I failed to spot Windrush fiasco coming, says Amber Rudd
Ms Rudd's comments to the Commons home affairs committee came as Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn stepped up demands for her to resign. Labour has also called for Rudd to quit.

As witnessed in the Snappables trailer, you can fight aliens in an Space Invaders-style game by moving your head around, or pump iron at the gym with your eyebrows. Some Snappables let you challenge friends to beat your high score, while others can invite them to multiplayer games! The company claims that these Snappables are the first shared AR experiences on Snapchat. Ever wonder what it would be like if you and your friends started a rock band or a dance party in the middle of the day?

Snappables will begin rolling out to Snapchat's global base of 187 million daily users for both iOS and Android this week. Every week, they'll be adding more Snappables so you can spend (waste) even more time on the app. New content on a daily basis is definitely a good thing, though, especially if the games are fun and you don't mind making insane faces out in public. Snap has released a trailer for the new Lenses on YouTube, and the promotional clip shows how users can control Snappables with their facial expressions and head movements. Just wait for a notification or check the Google Play page within the week to see if it's available already so you can start doing those weird gestures and expressions in public. From the looks of things, Snappables will really deliver a new AR experience to users.
