Samsung likely to begin manufacturing iPhone X Plus displays next month

Considering the timing and Apple's typical release schedule for its flagship line of smartphones in the fall, along with the constant swirl of rumors regarding an updated iPhone SE - we are likely looking at the model members for the iPhone SE 2.

Apple's iPhone X smartphone, which was unveiled in September a year ago, is hugely profitable and accounted for 35pc of total smartphone industry profits in Q4, 2017.

Overall, global handset profits have declines year-over-year, but Apple has actually grown its profits by one percent year-over-year. DigiTimes Research analyst Luke Lin noted that the iPhone X2 would be the most affordable model planned for this year. Unlike Apple, Android OEMs don't have a big cushion of profit due to the rising competition in the market which is flooded with Android devices. Rumors quickly started after the iPhone X commencement of sales on November 2 that the iPhone 8 Plus was more popular than the iPhone 8 was, and manufacturing orders were being shifted to accommodate the balance, and the then stock-limited iPhone X. Apple smartphones occupied 8 out of top 10 smartphones by profit share, according to Counterpoint.

Vetr lowered shares of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) from a strong-buy rating to a buy rating in a research report sent to investors on Monday, March 26th.

But in Q4 2017, Apple managed to dominate, despite those lower than expected iPhone X sales.

Ford Mustang planned for Monster Energy Series in 2019
Since then, the vehicle has won three driver championships (two for Ricky Stenhouse Jr . and one for Chris Buescher) and 70 races. Last year Ford Australia backflipped on its plan to release an official 500kW Roush supercharger kit for the Mustang .

After the success of Apple's flagship device, the iPhone X, the company is already focused on the next iteration of its smartphone phenom. We will add, Apple has more than a few years is the most profitable company in the smartphone manufacturers.

The iPhone X alone generated 21% of total industry revenue and 35% of total industry profits during the quarter.

BGR has access to the full report and notes that iPhone X profitability alone was more than three times that of Android leaders Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, LG, HTC, Sony and OnePlus put together.

According to Zacks, analysts expect that Apple will report full-year sales of $259.54 billion for the current financial year, with estimates ranging from $253.19 billion to $267.79 billion. According to the report, the smartphone replacement cycle has also reached its peak and this is making it hard for OEM manufacturers to book large profits. Apple's iPhones have a comparatively longer shelf-life than most other smartphones and this too has contributed a lot to the profit numbers.

"Chinese OEMs cumulative profits crossed $1.3bn during Q4 2017", said Counterpoint associate director Tarun Pathak. "In fact, the average selling price (ASP) of their flagship devices also increased YoY", added Associate Director Tarun Pathak.
