OKC Thunder power to playoff win over Utah Jazz

Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George suffered a right hip contusion in his team's 116-108 playoff victory over the Utah Jazz on Sunday at Chesapeake Energy Arena,'s Royce Young reported.

The Jazz had a brief scare with Donovan Mitchell, who had to head back to the locker room to receive an x-ray on his left foot, which came back negative.

Next up the Thunder have a few days rest before they face Utah in game two at the Peake on Wednesday. George's eight three pointers were a Thunder record for most three's in a playoff game.

I was anxious about George's shooting slump coming into the playoffs but he looks to be back to his old self so I'm taking the Thunder to get the win and cover again.

Oklahoma City has a history of clashing with streaking opponents in the playoffs. We project him for 38.6 FD points in Game 2 on Wednesday.

At the same time, Stoltenberg expressed his conviction that those responsible for chemical attacks must be held to account. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the strikes were about making sure chemical weapons can not be used with impunity.

As Andre Roberson is injured and inactive during these games, George is OKC's best available defender.

The Thunder claimed a six-point lead at the half, and added to it in the third quarter to lead by nine with 12 minutes to go. "Our job is to make sure we find him and make it easy for him".

But of course the one that we're most excited about here at The J-Notes is none other than the battle between our very own Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oklahoma City led 54-48 at halftime behind 20 points from George and 14 from Westbrook. In addition, the Jazz held opponents to 44.9% shooting from the field in the regular season, and they are skilled enough defensively to at least contain the Thunder, plus the under hit in all four regular season meetings. Donovan Mitchell had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz. "Obviously, I was hot tonight, but that's the level I'm going to bring every night". The Thunder big man executed a remarkable lob-catch and dunk, and it was followed by an Anthony 3-pointer as the Thunder got its largest lead at 18 points (109-91).

Davis made the comments during the second quarter of the Thunder's season-closing win over the Grizzlies, when he referred to Russell Westbrook as "out of his cotton pickin' mind".
