Dwyane Wade Turns Back the Clock, Drops Season-High 28 in Philadelphia

He pointed out to the Heat's run in the second quarter as moments he coudl have used Embiid.

The defending champions now lead their Western Conference first-round series 2-0 after a game that saw Kevin Durant score 32 points, take six rebounds and make six assists.

Brown added before Game 2 that Embiid might participate in on-court work with coaching staff or players who are not in the regular rotation to build up his conditioning. Johnson made all seven of his shots.

The Philadelphia 76ers suffered their first loss in more than a month and Ben Simmons was not happy about it.

Wade stepped into the time machine.

Father Prime was incredible in Game two.

And there were some tough buckets.

Wade's experience proved crucial throughout, inspiring a first-half fightback to wipe out the 76ers' early lead before shepherding Miami to the win in a nervy finale.

With the script now flipped.

Wade put the final nail in the coffin with a nasty step-back jumper from the right wing to cap off his throwback performance, which also featured stellar defense throughout the night. This game was closer than the last and the Spurs definitely looked better. Goran Dragic captained the offense, scoring 20 points on 57.1% shooting. He did not miss a shot (seven of seven, including two of two from three-point range) in scoring 18 points.

Asked about the risks of USA military retaliation, Mattis cited two concerns, starting with avoiding civilian casualties. But US intelligence agencies have not completed their assessment or reached a final conclusion, the officials said.

It was just one game, and it was a stinker for the Philadelphia 76ers. but folks need to keep things in perspective in the postseason. Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova were on the button... initially at least.

Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said he understood Embiid's frustration at being forced to watch from the sidelines, while acknowledging that the reaction was only natural. In Game 2, the team made a decision to do what it had done to pick up huge wins so many times in the past: Give the ball to Dwyane Wade and get out of his way.

The Heat win ties the series at one game apiece.

When Saric later drove to the basket and scored, the Sixers trailed only 96-92 with 5:47 left.

Saric found Simmons with a long pass for the 76ers.

The 36-year-old scored 28 points (11-of-16 from the field) in 26 minutes off the bench, to lead Miami to a 113-103 road victory. But the second-quarter drought put the Sixers in a huge hole that they couldn't dig themselves out of.

"I've been on the other end of a lot of his big games", Redick said. They not only came back down to earth in Game 2, they were terrible going 7-for-36 for 19%.

Game Three of the series is in Miami on Thursday, although the 76ers have yet to reveal Embiid's status for the contest.

And on Monday night, Covington's struggles were infectious.
