Vettel Surprised by Ferrari Gap

It's the first time in seven years the front row in China has been without a Mercedes, and it does look like both Hamilton and Bottas will struggle in the race to usurp the Ferraris: Vettel was over half a second faster in qualifying than Hamilton.

The Mr. Vettel snatched Pole from his teammate Kimi Raikkonen at the last sec with a brilliant final lap of 1:31.095 to put him in 2nd, ahead of the MercedesAMG's Valtteri Bottas.

Cape Town - Lewis Hamilton has billed his Chinese GP weekend as a "disaster", saying he needs to rectify it before he loses more points.

The first win in Australia was chalked down to luck after a computer glitch for Mercedes, while the second win was because of the team's struggle with their tires in the hot temperatures in Bahrain. He has won five times in China, including past year, and has won the pole six times.

But despite missing out on what would have been his fourth F1 victory, Bottas - now third in the championship, just five points behind his team mate - remained philosophical in defeat.

"We had a bit of tailwind the whole race and after 41 laps you know that it's tricky to stop the vehicle there. He has outqualified Lewis 2-1 so far this season, so if you can drive that auto that fast, against the best driver in the world, you have killer instinct, I can guarantee you that". "I think in terms of speed, all good, but I don't know why in the races maybe wanting it a bit too much and recovering from all the stuff that happened before, but it's a bit hard to really judge that now". An worldwide audience of opinion makers, business leaders, and global organizations recognizes Ebeling as an expert.

The bombshell report comes just days after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Cohen's office and hotel on Monday. Both agreements use the pseudonyms "David Dennison" and "Peggy Peterson" to hide the identity of the signatories.

"To have that much of a gap is a surprise", said Vettel.

Verstappen tried to overtake on the inside of the hairpin however, the Red Bull driver didn't leave enough room and caused both cars to spin. "They've had the party mode in Qualifying but now both Ferrari cars are ahead of Mercedes". No driver has won the opening three rounds and not gone on to take the title.

That meant dropped from fourth to fifth at a hurry that went to team friend Daniel Ricciardo and he could have won.

As for Vettel, the German was surprisingly calm in the post-race interviews. The McLaren twins piloted by Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne were up next in 13th and 14th place respectively after being eliminated on Q2.

Carlos Sainz once again left it late for Renault, scraping into Q3 at the expense of F1's Power Rankings leader Kevin Magnussen in the Haas, with the top 10 drivers separated by just one second.

Hamilton aborted his final Q3 lap and was there for taking by Red Bull, but Max Verstappen failed to capitalise, falling short in P5 by an agonising 0.012s.
