Another winter storm set to slam this area

A winter storm watch has been issued for about the northern half of Lower Michigan.

During the evening and overnight the rain will change over to all snow and track east with the heaviest snow likely along and north of Interstate 70.

Meteorologists are calling it a major spring storm, predicting significant icing possible in Ottawa, Kent, Ionia and Clinton counties.

The National Weather Service issued blizzard warnings for South Dakota and winter storm warnings for parts of Washington state to the Dakotas. New ice accumulation of around a 0.2 of an inch possible. Snow accumulations of 3 - 5 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts possible where all snowfall.
