Fortnite Mobile has left beta on iOS, no more invites required

Today, Epic Games revealed on Fortnite Battle Royale's Message of the Day a vending machine is coming to the game this week, confirming theories that players can trade spare materials such as metal, wood, and bricks for gear.

If you would like to play Fornite: Battle Royale on iOS, you need an iPhone SE at the very oldest, or an iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone X.

The iOS version of Fortnite that Epic announced last week is now free for everyone.

While open to all iOS users, Epic reminds that there are restrictions on what iPhones and iPads can play the game.

In these situations it is day by day. "Maybe not in the beginning, maybe the bench". You have to try and make a good performance there for the second leg".

With what it seems like every major multiplayer, online game coming to mobile now, including PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and even ARK: Survival Evolved, the prospect of playing titles like Fortnite on the go has been quite the upward trend.

The smash hit from Epic Games has crossed another massive milestone, according to influencer marketing platform Matchmade. (Presumably the new 2018 iPad too.) But if you have an iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3 or an iPod Touch, you're out of luck. The only thing we don't know is when Android devices will be getting the game. Though it's still in beta, Fortnite has a wonderful level of polish and is seeing weekly updates that add new features, items, or game modes to keep fans hooked.

The company says we should expect Android availability to arrive within the next few months. "This means players across devices can squad up with friends and play together".

A serious games researcher believes Fortnite possesses "positive characteristics of play" and is not addictive.
