Taylor Swift Makes Surprise Bluebird Cafe Appearance

Fans can next catch Swift on her reputation tour, beginning May 8.

Among the tunes pulled out of Taylor's spacious bag of tricks were "Love Story", "Shake It Off" and the Taylor-penned Little Big Town hit "Better Man".

She may have done her time on the Disney Channel, but that's as close as 26-year-old Angeleno Hayley Kiyoko likes to hew to the standard pop backstory.

"I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe", she said.

"I got her a shot of Fireball, and then I got her another one", Wiseman recalled, explaining that Swift retreated to a balcony in a VIP area.

Wiseman and Swift have known each other since meeting at a charity show when she was a teenager.

After that story he handed the 10-time Grammy victor a small bottle of Fireball, which she then shot back. They wrote a different song, but Swift went home and finished writing her original idea. While the singer was previously seen out and about with her former loves quite frequently, Swift and Alwyn are rarely seen in public and most definitely have not appeared alongside one another on any red carpets.

But there are also those who haven't watched Dunkirk in a theatre and Kamal Haasan is one such person. Nolan has received wide appreciation for movies, such as Memento, The Dark Knight and Inception .

According to the Tennessean, Swift was brought onstage by the night's main billing, Craig Wiseman. And of course she performed Love Story - arguably the song that skyrocketed her into worldwide stardom.

The Bluebird Café holds a special place in Swift's heart, as it was there, as a curly-haired eighth-grader strumming an acoustic guitar, that she was discovered by record exec Scott Borchetta. Fans in the crowd and on the internet soaked up all the '00s nostalgia they could.

In the Refinery29 interview, Kiyoko had said: "I think no matter who you are or what you look like, you just wanna be a person, right?".

The $20 concert marked a return to where Swift's career began.

The "Bad Blood" singer returned to her country roots when she performed in front of a small audience on Saturday night.

The gig was recorded for a documentary in honour of Bluebird Cafe's 35th anniversary.
