Jefferson City police arrest woman accused of trying to pass fraudulent prescription

A 35-year-old Kenosha woman was arrested Monday after she reportedly confronted her husband's new girlfriend. As of Tuesday evening, the girl remains in critical condition in the hospital.

Greensboro Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro at Edney Ridge Road.

Police said a trooper was operating a license plate scanner in the area of Exit 10 when they received a hit on the plate on a vehicle that was passing by. Police followed the auto into the parking lot of the Battleground Village shopping center, where two men inside the vehicle tried to flee.

The man refused to talk to police about his involvement, the report said. She is charged with First Degree Murder in Fleming's death. The footage showed a tan-colored four-door vehicle stop at Coleman Avenue and 19th Street and let a male passenger out of the vehicle. The identity of the suspect and officers are being withheld at this time.

Greensboro Police said they found multiple weapons in the suspect vehicle.

Raffik Silva Zafret of Santa Ana was arrested Saturday night in the 3900 block of South Bristol Street, according to Santa Ana police Cpl.

A man armed with a 3ft sword was subdued by officers in the Whalley Range area of the city after the attack took place. Police are not yet disclosing the type of weapon, citing an ongoing investigation. It was not immediately released why the shots were fired or who - if anyone - was injured.

"Due to recent burglaries reported with subjects entering residences from the alleyway", Chief Alwan said, "officers made contact with the three subjects in the vehicle".

Greensboro Police said the officer was not hurt.
