Bride arrested for DUI on way to her wedding

A 32-year-old Arizona bride was driving alone to her wedding on Monday when she caused a three-car collision and was subsequently placed in handcuffs and arrested by police. However, the tweets reported are no longer available on Scott's official account or the Marana Police Department's Twitter account. A police officer tweeted: "Don't drive impaired". Police spokesman Sgt. Chriswell Scott said one person was left with minor injuries after the crash.

"This could've turned out way worse than it did", Scott wrote in the deleted tweet, the Arizona Daily Star reported. "One of our officers noticed a female driver wearing a wedding dress exhibiting signs of impairment, so after doing a DUI investigation, they took her to the station and took blood".

Young was eventually released without having to go to jail as she just got her blood drawn.

Arizona has some of the strictest DUI laws in the country. In fact, the state's law allows for legal consequences even if someone is impaired to a slight degree. No word yet if Young eventually made it to her wedding or if her groom is still waiting for her at the alter.
