DeShone Kizer to Packers as Part of Damarious Randall Trade with Browns

The Cleveland Browns were intent making headlines on Friday.

John Dorsey pulled off his third trade of the day, sending second-year quarterback DeShone Kizer to the Packers for cornerback Damarious Randall. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns have agreed to send a mid-round draft pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

It's the latest move in what has been a busy afternoon for Cleveland.

Having already made one trade, acquiring Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry from the Miami Dolphins, the Cleveland Browns have reportedly made another move.

Talking about the Parkland shooting, she said: "My school children were murdered in their classrooms. Other school personnel would be able to participate, however.

Drafted 30th overall in 2015, Randall started 30 games with the Packers, recording at least three picks in every one of his seasons in Green Bay, although he finished a year ago on Injured Reserve. With the first and fourth overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft, they are still positioned to snag premier prospects in April. Kizer went 0-15 as a starter last season and led the National Football League with 22 interceptions.

However, Kizer rarely looked comfortable in the pocket, partly because teams were constantly blitzing him, and he was sacked 38 times.

He also didn't have his top wideout, Josh Gordon, until December. Expect Kizer to compete with Brett Hundley for the backup gig behind Aaron Rodgers this offseason. While no longer getting an opportunity to start may bum him out, the change of scenery should help his development as a professional quarterback.
