Jennifer Lawrence may snub Ryan Seacrest on the Oscars red carpet

Speaking about Ryan's upcoming appearance at the Oscars red carpet, where he'll be working for E!, Kelly told him: "I can not wait to see you there".

The 43-year-old is officially reporting from the 2018 Oscars red carpet despite recent sexual misconduct allegations made against him by his former E! stylist, and the internet reactions to his presence are mostly negative.

AfterVariety recently published a report detailing ex-E! stylist Suzie Hardy's serious harassment and assault allegations against Seacrest, the network doubled down, stating their long-time anchor would still fulfill his duties on Sunday.

Hardy took her story to Variety on Monday, and accused Seacrest of forcing his head into her crotch, appearing before her in his underwear, and asking her to consider a romance with him.

Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel told Variety on Wednesday that "of course" he plans to keep his scheduled post-award show interview with Seacrest.

The cabler, however, won't confirm the delay, instead insisting it's "business as usual" on the carpet.

Burke similarly said, "This is not about his guilt or innocence".

"They really shouldn't send him [to the Oscars]", said Burke. But the way she spoke to Seacrest, as she reached up to brush his chin, seemed just slightly sinister: "The universe has a way of taking care of the good people, you know what I mean?"

"I don't think [Seacrest is] going to have a great time on the carpet", one longtime Hollywood publicist tells CNN.

Ryan Seacrest is a staple on the red carpet and American television. The dynamics of these red carpet set-ups have been evolving with stars using the platform to speak out about important causes and push back against the sexist mechanics tied to the whole enterprise. 'I am not a judge.

News that Seacrest was facing workplace misconduct allegations first came to light in November, when Seacrest released a preemptive statement denying the accusations and revealing that E! was conducting an investigation.

"I don't know. that is where this stuff gets tricky".

Several stars were vocally supportive of Seacrest.

Meanwhile, over on ABC, red carpet interviews ranged from Time's Up activists - including Salma Hayek, Viola Davis, Nicoel Kidman, Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd - to some of the night's big nominees, including Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig and Timothee Chalamet.
