Man racks up $1600 Uber fare after blacking out

In the end, the total cost came to: $1,635.93!

People are not supposed to drink and drive. "Why did you agree to take me to New Jersey from West Virginia?" he said he asked the driver. A drunk man's Uber trip ended up costing him $1,600.

The cost of the trip was compounded because Bachman ordered an UberXL, which is more expensive than a smaller auto, and because surge pricing was in effect. The prevalence of ride share services like Lyft and Uber make it even easier to avoid such a scenario. If there hadn't been surge pricing in effect, his ride would've been just half, $819.14.

Instead, he woke up in the passenger seat of a 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan next to an Uber driver that was taking him home. Rather than get out of the auto or turn around, he just went with it.

Bachman challenged the Uber ride.

Avengers: Infinity War Release Date Moved Up a Week
Avengers: Infinity War will bring together the MCU 's largest collection of superheroes ever for a massive showdown with Thanos . THR says the move was made so that the entire world can share the experience together.

Pictured, Sewell, NJ resident, Kenneth Bachman who ended up stuck with a $1600 Uber taxi bill. A majority of that, - almost $700 - came from the distance the Uber driver traveled to take Bachman home, NJ.com reported. Bachmann countered that he didn't want to just be left on the side of the road.

He accused the Uber driver of using his phone and said he even had to get money to repay the driver for the tolls they had gone through along the way.

Bachman's reaction to having taken a very expensive and very long Uber ride was just disbelief at the whole thing. That said, the Gloucester County resident conceded he knew he 'just wanted to go home'.

Obviously, this accidental life choice has made Kenneth quite the hero of the drunken regrets world, and speaking on the matter he said simply, "I was just like... that's insane!".
