Trust the key for Conte as he confirms his commitment to Chelsea

Following on from Monday's shock 4-1 defeat at Watford, speculation intensified about Conte's future - increasing from if he gets sacked to when.

He still has unfinished business and said: "In my opinion, you continue to work with a manager or coach not because of what he achieves in one season but because you trust in him".

"Coming out of the end of February it's important that we're in a good position in these competitions but it's all still there for us to play for".

And the Italian bids to avoid a THIRD straight Premier League defeat in tomorrow's home clash with West Brom.

Chelsea have just one win in 2018, and back-to-back defeats by a three-goal margin have seen the Italian in a risky position.

Paul Merson wants his former club to take advantage of the pressure Antonio Conte suddenly finds himself under.

Olivier Giroud, signed from Arsenal in the transfer window, could make his first start after a substitute appearance against Watford, but fellow striker Alvaro Morata remains sidelined with no return imminent, according to Conte. "We have to divide the responsibility in every positive or negative situation, when you have this period with so poor results you have to divide responsibility with me, with the players, with the club".

"To arrive in this league and adapt yourself very quickly is not simple but my task is to try to help him and every single player improve".

"We realise it's a hard task when you see the fixtures we have coming up, hence why I say it will probably define our season", said Chelsea captain Gary Cahill. "You have to finish this season in the right way, too". My commitment, the commitment of my players is totally for this club. 'I don't think talking about my future can affect the players.

"I think we understand that, when you lose two games in a row, the situation is not simple". If the club decides to send me away, I don't know when, it'll be because they're not happy with my work'. Against Watford it was different because the performance was negative from the start. Seven goals conceded in their past two games is a far cry from their title-winning displays from last season. Chelsea can no longer simply buy up the best and most expensive players and manage them to titles.
