First VENOM Teaser Trailer Shows a Tortured Tom Hardy

Starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, the trailer does what you would expect a teaser to do: introduces the main characters while leaving us hanging for more.

Venom stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, and Riz Ahmed as Dr. Carlton Drake. This could partially be because Marvel didn't license the rights to Spider-Man from Sony for this film, but choosing to pick up Brock's story at this point in his life is a great choice by Venom's writers and director Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad). Though, if you had a sinister alien symbiotic using you as a human host you'd probably be pretty broody too.

Venom stars Tom Hardy as the titular symbiote, though we don't get a chance to see the anti-hero in action during the trailer.

It also offers an unnerving glimpse of the sentient symbiote known as Venom - one of Spider-Man's most famous nemesis. If I didn't know who Venom was, I'd have even less of a clue as to what this movie's going to be about. Judging by this first teaser, it certainly seems like he's intends to stay true to that promise. While there's plenty of Tom Hardy, there's no footage of him as the title character.

Unfortunately, while we don't see Venom in the teaser trailer, we do see the symbiote.

Venom is scheduled to premiere on October 5, 2018. Once that merges with Brock, Venom is born.

The New York Democrat cited a letter he sent to Ryan past year with 44 Senate Democrats saying they would not support a cromnibus. Nondefense programs would receive about $60 billion over current levels. "Take an action that has bipartisan support".

For what it's worth, we do get to see the symbiote squirming around inside a containment chamber, and what looks like a crashed space ship.

"You used to be one thing", Hardy's narration continues, "now you're something else".

Hardy's portrayal of the character isn't expected to tie directly into the Amazing Spider-Man series however, as the MCU's portrayal of Spider-Man is now expected to be the one that takes precedence in this film. We start off with some cool stunts, which... don't get me wrong, I'm always down to watch cars flip over and crash into each other, but what does that have to do with Venom?

The role was previously played by Topher Grace in "Spider-Man 3" (2007), but Mr.

The first teaser trailer for Sony's Venom has arrived, coming the day after the studio unveiled the official teaser poster for the upcoming comic book adaptation.
