Nicole Eggert considered killing herself after Scott Baio allegedly abused her

A representative for Baio, 57, told tmz.com, which first reported the filing: "We've been demanding since a year ago that Nicole Eggert bring her story to the authorities".

The following week, Eggert appeared on both Megyn Kelly Today and The Dr. Oz Show, where she further detailed her claims. The relevant statutes of limitation would be a key factor in such an evaluation. A witness also told detectives about inappropriate touching that he said he witnessed, the lawyer said.

Eggert was reportedly accompanied by fellow "Charles in Charge" star Alexander Polinsky who told detectives he witnessed some of the alleged abuse.

TMZ reports that detectives from the LAPD's Sexual Assault Section interviewed Eggert yesterday at the offices of her attorney Lisa Bloom.

Eggert, 46, has accused the 57-year-old of molesting her between the ages of 14 and 17, while they worked together on the US sitcom, which ran from 1984 to 1990.

"We appreciate the Los Angeles police detectives' interest in this case, and we will fully cooperate with their investigation", Bloom's statement said.

The woman says she marked the ticket after the January 6 drawing, the country's eighth greatest, reports The Associated Press. Another man in the US, Abraham Shakespeare, was also targeted after a $US30 million lottery win in 2006, Fox News reported.

Nicole Eggert and Scott Baio were co-stars in the 1980s sitcom "Charles in Charge". Bloom also provided police with a list of witnesses who will corroborate Eggert's claims. "If anyone else has information about this matter please contact us", Bloom added. He has posted video on social media in which he denied her allegations and waved around documents that he says prove she was above the age of consent at the time. Baio said that's not true, that he and Eggert had sex once when she was 18.

Last month, Eggert told United States news host Megyn Kelly that Baio penetrated her with his finger when she was 14.

The actress first came forward with the accusations against her "Charles in Charge" co-star on January 28. I forgive myself and I forgive him to move on and have peace, but the calling me a liar and the shaming and the slut shaming they are doing to me, that needs to stop. The 57-year-old actor has previously denied Eggert's sexual abuse allegations, saying she is "provably wrong" and "deliberately lying".

Polinsky starred alongside Eggert and Baio on Charles in Charge as one of the Powell siblings, Adam. "I don't know how anybody can believe what she's saying when her first allegation of having sex when (she was) 17 had been proven to be 100% false".

"How any of this could have happened is absolutely impossible", he added.

Neither Baio nor his reps have returned calls for comment.
