Nintendo Direct Mini Unveils a Bunch of Upcoming Switch Games

It's time to suit up and bring your best tennis gear to the court as Mario and friends return for some tennis ball-smashing action. The community overanalyzed these messages, but found nothing.

During today's Nintendo Direct announcement, the studio revealed Mario Tennis Aces for Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo also promised more info on the game as it becomes available.

Nintendo fans, your cries have been answered. Bandai Namco have confirmed that Dark Souls Remastered will be launching on Switch on May 25. What was your favorite of today's announcements? Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will debut on the Switch, and it will do so with a new mode. The ability to play as Funky Kong. You can pick up this enhanced port on May 4. Mario Tennis Aces will launch for the Nintendo Switch this spring! With a free update coming to Super Mario Odyssey next month, players can engage in a new leaderboard based activity - Luigi's ballon World.

Kirby Star Allies was announced past year, promising 4-player co-op side-scrolling gameplay for Nintendo Switch fans. The game utilised numerous DS's unique features, with gameplay taking place across both screens, and attacks requiring touch controls and even use of the microphone. Look for it later this Spring. They were nearly always faster and more agile - and universally less ridiculous looking. This spin-off fighting game includes only the women of the King of Fighters series and features up to two-on-two battles. Sounds flawless. Can't wait? They even snuck in the re-release of arcade fighting classic Art of Fighting 2. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will also be coming to the Switch after its launch late previous year.

Payday 2 - Dark Souls may be a surprisingly mature addition to Nintendo's library, but it's not quite as surprising as Payday 2. This will help players have a taste of multiplayer in the coziness of their own house with friends, just like Nintendo wants their games to be played. I'm sure we'll get more details later.

Fe is coming to Switch on February 16th. If you don't have a Switch yet, it may very well be time to get one. It's a game about climbing a mountain covered in spikes. Think of it like Super Meat Boy, but not gross. Celeste release date for the Nintendo Switch is January 25.
