Donkey Kong Smashes His Way Into Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

The Nintendo Switch had an excellent 2017, which was driven in part by Nintendo's focus on putting a bunch of first-party franchises on the console early.

Nintendo's Wii U was host to some damned good games - but the system was a bit of a failure.

While the new version of the game for Switch will largely be a port of the Wii U version, the Switch version of Tropical Freeze will also pack in a few new features.

There's not a ton of detail as of now, but the Switch version will feature co-op via Joy-Cons for the entire adventure and this mode will feature Funky Kong.

Toyota, Mazda announce $1.6 bln plant for Huntsville, Alabama
North Carolina has been beefing up its auto manufacturing for years but has not been able to land a major auto manufacturer. But with USA auto industry sales are declining, the new plant could exacerbate overcapacity and add pressure to cut prices.

On Nintendo Direct this morning, Nintendo announced that another game for Wii U will be taken to Nintendo Switch.

With a tentative date of "spring", Donkey Kong will swing into the craziness of Mario + Rabbid: Kingdom Battle only on the Nintendo Switch. Finally, we'll get two new costumes for Link and Zelda based out their outfits from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Funky has a lot more abilities than his contemporaries, with double jumps and infinite rolls and swimming propulsion which'll definitely take the edge off some of the more hard moments of Tropical Freeze.

Tropical Freeze for Switch will not be a simple port since it will include a new game mode.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will land on Switch on May 4.
