Circuit City plots comeback with website relaunch, smaller stores

The outline of a sign is seen on the exterior of an out-of-business Circuit City store January 27, 2009 in San Rafael, California.

According to CNBC, the retailer that closed all of its stores in 2009 has picked February 15 as the day it will relaunch its website.

Today Circuit City announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that it will be launching a chain of "innovative retail stores" across the country.

Manchester City bid for Alexis Sanchez
Even with Sanchez being a key player for Arsenal , Wenger's back is up against a wall as Sanchez's contract runs out this summer. It will be nice to have five days and then nearly a week before Newcastle to get a little bit of recovery.

Circuit City is an iconic brand in the Consumer Electronic industry, established 1949 and relaunched under new ownership in 2016. It will include several novel features, including search by photo and tech support via video chat, he said.

The company has also enlisted IBM Watson as a personal shopping assistant on the website, according to a news release.

Circuit City CEO Ronny Schmoel said the company will relaunch its e-commerce website on February 15 and eventually roll out small-scale versions of its stores as kiosks, store in-stores and other experimental settings. "After evaluating other options Circuit City selected IBM because of its aligned vision with AI and how this technology can ultimately transform how clients shop for electronics". Circuit City hasn't had a brick-and-mortar store in operation since 2009. The company will relaunch online next month, while its physical presence in the form of stores is coming later.
