Trevor Noah explains why Oprah is the best opponent for Trump

Billionaire philanthropist Oprah Winfrey gave a moving speech at the Golden Globes on January 7 and sparked rumors of a possible 2020 presidential run.

Following the evening's ceremony and Oprah's speech, Ivanka tweeted on Monday night that she "Just saw @Oprah's empowering & inspiring speech at last night's #GoldenGlobes".

He recalled that he and his family appeared on Oprah's TV show in its final week. She added that there will come a time when no one else has to say "me too" ever again.

"This should cover you for about two weeks".

But her Sunday night speech at the Golden Globe awards show unleashed immediate and intense media speculation about a candidacy in 2020, presumably as a Democrat. Actor Natasha Rothwell also weighed in, reminding Ivanka of the accusations against her dad, as did author Michael Wolff, who said, "Who does she think her father is?" The chat show host talked powerfully about the moments that had inspired her as a little girl before tackling racism, sexism, the Hollywood sexual harassment scandal and the wider implications for ordinary women.

Watch the exchange above. "Here is why. The media and the left in this country, well, they now seem to think Oprah is the one person that can help them fulfill their ultimate goal - to destroy Donald Trump and defeat President Trump".

Quincy Jones said it was "an honour" to support Winfrey after she thanked him in her speech.

Google has sold a Home device every second since October
Amazon pioneered the phenomenon in 2014 with its Echo speaker range, before Google followed suit two years later with Home. Plus, according to the research firm, smart speakers are now the fastest-growing consumer technology.

Trump himself has lavished praise on Winfrey over the years, including in 2015, when he said that he would consider her as a running mate on his Republican ticket. The notion got a boost from Oprah's partner, Stedman Graham, who told the LA Times that Oprah would "absolutely do it" if the conditions were right, but "it's up to the people".

Winfrey, as was the case for Trump before being elected president, has never held public office.

Some of Winfrey's close friends have reportedly been urging her to run, CNN reported.

Meryl Streep was quoted as telling the Washington Post that she wanted Winfrey to run for president.

"What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have".

After slamming NBC News for its deleted "OUR future president" tweet about Oprah, and using it to take more shots at the network, Hannity then derided "private jet liberals" over their "newfound political affection for Oprah".
