Has Ewan McGregor Started Prepping For The Obi-Wan Kenobi Spinoff?

"It's just that. There's a lot of talk", said McGregor.

It's impossible to say for certain that Disney is even working on an Obi-Wan movie. Whether or not Disney listen to the fans and gives Ewan another opportunity to play one of his easily most memorable and iconic cinematic roles has yet to be seen, but we're hoping they do!

EWAN McGregor has sent Star Wars fans into a frenzy with a hot and sweaty workout pic. The actor has been very complimentary about the new Star Wars franchise, even the hotly debated film, The Last Jedi.

Are you in support of McGregor playing Obi-Wan again? Reporter Yvonne Villarreal caught up with the Fargo star on the Golden Globes red carpet, he reveals that the much-anticipated film is nothing but "talks".

So, he is definitely going to have a strong opinion about it. Give him LeBron and Gelo [LiAngelo Ball]. And now LaVar Ball is talking again.

Speaking backstage at the Golden Globes after his win on Sunday night, McGregor said that he didn't know anything about a potential spin-off - but if he got his way, he'd be happy to return to a galaxy far, far away.

Last summer, there was a disturbance in the Force when news broke that Lucasfilm was considering a possible Star Wars spin-off movie about Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The spin off was reported a year ago. Other reports have gone as far as to claim a movie has already been greenlight, and will have a 2019 release date. On the one hand, no progress seems to have been made on the spinoff.

The first interviewer asked him about the current status of the oft-rumored Obi-Wan movie and his wishes to be involved in the project, should it come to life. The Gareth Edwards-directed Rogue One underwent reported massive reshoots and even story-rewrites, while past year Solo: A Star Wars Anthology experienced a major shake-up when original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired three weeks before principal photography was scheduled to conclude, prior to director Ron Howard stepping in.
