David Letterman returns to TV with Obama interview

Former President Barack Obama will make his first talk show appearance since leaving office on "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman", which premieres January 12 on Netflix.

The long-winded title for the new 60-minute show is "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman". Interviews will take place both inside and outside a studio setting.

Obama will be the first guest on Letterman's six-part series for the streaming giant.

David Letterman's anticipated return date to television is set.

In China, the phone is priced at CNY 1499 (~ Rs. 14,600) for the 32GB variant and CNY 1,699 (~ Rs. 16,600) for the 64GB variant. After pretty much revealing the design on Chinese certification website Tenna, we now have more from Chinese e-commerce Suning .

The show will launch Friday, Jan. 12 and a new episode will be stream each subsequent month in 2018 - so the Letterman series is rather unique in the Netflix universe as it has a rather anti-binge roll-out.

According to Netflix, each episode will "centered around one extraordinary figure whom Dave finds fascinating", and will highlight "intimate, in-depth and far-reaching" conversations.

His return to television for Netflix was announced in August 2017, when the quick-witted host said that Pope Francis and President Donald Trump would be top of his wish-list for the series. It will also include field segments featuring Letterman, probably similar to the filmed comedic segments he used to do for his old late night shows on NBC and CBS.

Letterman and Obama shared another "first" back in 2009, when the latter became the first sitting president to appear on the "Late Show."
