Liverpool line up West Ham star as potential Coutinho replacement

Coutinho has always been linked with a move to Barcelona, with Spanish newspapers reporting this weekend that the 25-year-old has been searching for a place to live in the city. That is, if Philippe Coutinho signs for Barcelona.

Coutinho has been courted by Barcelona since the summer transfer window and although the move did not materialise then, it may only be a matter of time before the 25-year-old makes the switch.

Under a banner describing Barcelona as "Where the magic happens", the website posted a link to buying Barcelona shirts with Coutinho's name printed on the back, saying that the midfielder is "ready to light up Camp Nou".

Nike, who sponsor both Coutinho and provide his boots, are also the kit sponsor for Barcelona. "Get your 2017/18 Barcelona kit with the Magician's name on it".

Liverpool are reportedly targeting West Ham United playmaker Manuel Lanzini as their preferred replacement for highly-rated midfielder Philippe Coutinho, whose lucrative January switch to Barcelona has all but been completed if a recent faux pas by Nike is to be believed.

The US President again singled out Pakistan for criticism when he announced his national security strategy earlier this month. It was not immediately clear why Trump opted to tweet on Pakistan.

Liverpool have already spent big ahead of the window opening tomorrow.

But Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insisted there was no need to sell one of their star assets to balance the books.

Asked about the rumours, Coutinho recently told Sky Sports: 'I always say the same thing. I have no information about that, ' he said.

"So fair play to our owners that they are ambitious and now we have to use the team to grow together".
