Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots total a holly jolly $547M

Friday night's Mega Millions Grand Prize is an estimated $247 million, and Saturday night's PowerBall is expected to be more than $300 million. The $1 million prize automatically becomes $2 million with Power Play.

The Powerball jackpot for tonight's drawing is estimated at about $300 million, which would carry a cash option prize of more than $191 million.

Prizes range from $4 for matching just the Powerball to $1 million for matching all five numbers (but not the Powerball).

You may want to gift yourself with a Mega Millions or Powerball ticket this weekend. The current largest MI win was in April 2005, when a Port Huron couple, Ralph and Mary Stebbins, won $208 million.

The zoo remained closed to the public on what had been expected to be a busy day at the popular facility in Regent's Park. London Fire Brigade's David George said that when crews arrived they were faced with a "very well developed fire".

It's time to check your tickets for the Powerball drawing from Saturday night, December 23. The odds of winning the jackpot with a $2 ticket are 1 in 292,201,338. The jackpot for today's in-state Megabucks Doubler game drawing, meanwhile, is estimated at $7.7 million - which would pay out more than $6 million in time for Christmas.

Drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.in Atlanta.

Saturday's Megabucks Doubler drawing features the in-state game's jackpot since March 11, when a $11.34 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Clinton.
