Liverpool boss claims Arsenal forced to change style against his side

That 4-0 drubbing proved to be Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's last appearance for Arsenal before leaving for Liverpool and although the England global attracted widespread criticism for his display on that day, Wenger refused to point the finger at his former player.

The Liverpool boss said he finds it "unbelievable" the Ox's attacking talents were not used to the full by the Gunners' chief.

In an unusual scheduling quirk, this Friday's match against Arsenal will be the second time Liverpool have faced the London side in the first half of the current season-with their next game, the first of the second half of the campaign, also the first of two times they take on Swansea.

Salah established himself as Liverpool's best player this season, scoring 19 goals with the club including 14 goals in the Premier League to be the league's top scorer. Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored just twice in 20 appearances for Liverpool and managed 20 goals in 198 games for Arsenal. That's how it is.

And he rapped: "The biggest improvement for Oxlade-Chamberlain is being involved in goalscoring situations". And I think: "Wow". He's really fit, you could see it at Bournemouth, there was not one second where you thought he looked exhausted.

"Here we put it on more shoulders and if he's on the pitch he needs to be involved in situations like this as well".

The Owls' nine-game win streak is the second longest in the country behind the 12-game streak put together by Central Florida. The team went undefeated in conference play and that has prompted the school to approach Kiffin about a new contract.

Giroud, who has been starting for Arsene Wenger's men recently, injured his hamstring against West Ham last night and has been ruled out.

He said: "They are a complete side, able to do everything".

"A lot of the time [Olivier] Giroud played against us, even if he didn't play in the game before and after".

"We are a team that is very offensive-orientated, but that doesn't mean you have to give any space away".

"The boys did well in different systems, which I really like a lot because that is the biggest improvement, but only because they now do the jobs in the moment, much more often".
