SNL recaps freakish year at the White House with sketch

First lady Melania Trump (played by Cecily Strong) opens by wishing everyone a merry Christmas. "Soon White Santa will be coming from house to house taking presents from Muslims and illegals and giving them to American children". The reality star turned presidential staff member left the White House in a dramatic fashion on Wednesday, and SNL didn't fail to notice.

Kate McKinnon, as Kellyanne Conway, hangs an ornament with the face of former FBI director James Comey (abruptly fired by Trump in May following an investigation of his campaign team and its ties to Russian Federation during last year's election).

After Jost pointed out the folly of Democrats calling for Trump to resign - "You're never going to shame President Grab-Ass" - Che offered a seasonal the-time-is-right observation on a Trump resignation. "What would you like to have for Christmas?" "I tried to make a Steve Bannon ornament but his face wouldn't fit, so I brought you a Mad Ball, instead", she said, producing a monster-faced toy ball.

After Kellyanne Conway - played by Kate McKinnon - decides she wants to hang former FBI Director James Comey, who Trump fired in May, on the tree, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, played by Aidy Bryant, adds ousted Press Secretary Sean Spicer and former Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci on the tree. "Nobody kicks Omarosa out the White House", she replies, before punching a Secret Service agent and then being dragged away by another.

Of course, what Trump skit would be complete without Scarlett Johansson's Ivanka Trump? Trump asked Ivanka, referring to husband Jared Kushner. "I want out", she said.

Vladimir Putin thanks President Trump to help Central Intelligence Agency in stop terrorist attacks
On Thursday, it was Trump who called Putin , thanking the Russian president for his praise of Trump's handling of the USA economy. Returning militants from Syria pose a real threat to Russian Federation , the head of the FSB was quoted as saying on Tuesday.

McKinnon played Jeff Sessions as the "elf on the shelf".

"Whether you're Christian or Jewish, or that's it, we all can agree it's going to be a Merry Christmas", McKinnon's Sessions said, dressed as the popular holiday character.

Meanwhile, Leslie Jones as Omarosa, the latest of the administration to unceremoniously get the boot, attempts to crash the White House tree trimming party.

"Hey! Let me in", Jones' Omarosa said from the outside looking in.

Conflicting reports surfaced about her departure from the White House this week.
