Pre-schoolers brawl over 'Baby Jesus' during Nativity pageant

An adorable Nativity scene in an East Tennessee church took a hilarious turn when the little girl playing a sheep made a decision to play with baby Jesus.

Two-year-old Teegan Benson, playing the sheep, is first shown sitting quietly beside the crib as a choir sings Away In A Manger at a church pre-school.

The toddler playing Mary came to baby Jesus' rescue, but Teegan grabbed the doll back.

That is, until Mary decides she is having none of it and tries to grab poor Jesus back from the sheep - a tussle ensues.

Meanwhile, the little girl playing Mary made a decision to take matters into her own hands and reclaim the doll.

"Definitely a program I will remember", Benson wrote on Facebook.

But Teegan runs off with the baby again and is chased by Mary who puts her in a headlock when she refuses to give him back.

If you listen closely you can hear the sniggers from the audience, clearly amused by the improvised scene.

Benson's post has garnered more than 230,000 shares and 8.4 million views. LOVE these kiddos and my church family! Benson said she never expected the video to go viral. She described Collia as very bright and a very good girl.

Benson said the video is amusing but also touches on the true meaning of Christmas.
