Trump says Washington Post should fire 'fraud' journalist over erroneous tweet

Weigel apologized, tweeting, "It was a bad tweet on my personal account, not a story for Washington Post". I deleted the photo after @dmartosko told me I'd gotten it wrong. "Very fair to call me out". Weigel, from his personal Twitter account, had posted an image that questioned the crowd size of the event the president held on Friday.

Well, even if that is Trump, it is a backstage photo.

Trump, who often fixates on the sizes of his crowds at speaking engagements, went after Weigel over the tweet and said the photo showed the venue "hours" before he arrived ― though that detail has been the subject of debate. Packed house, many people unable to get in. "FAKE NEWS, he should be fired", Trump tweeted on Saturday night, despite the fact that Weigel had already corrected the tweet before the president's follow-up post.

About an hour later, the president wrote that Weigel "just admitted that his picture was a FAKE (fraud?)", adding, "He should be fired".

But the Post wasn't the only news organization to suffer Trump's ire on Saturday.

Earlier on Saturday Trump resumed his attacks on "fake news" organizations, after CNN had issued a correction for a story about the Russian Federation probe.

Marvel's Jessica Jones: Netflix announces season 2 premiere date
The show's first season premiered on Netflix in November of 2015, so this has been a long wait for fans of the Marvel heroine. At last, though, it's almost here: Netflix has posted a trailer confirming that season 2 will premiere on March 8th, 2018.

"Arena was packed to the rafters, the crowd was loud, loving and really smart", Trump tweeted to his millions of followers.

Weigel apologized to Trump within minutes and noted he had already deleted the inaccurate tweet.

Another leftist anti-Trump publication to the north, the New York Times, tried to turn the tables on Trump over the Pensacola incident, insisting that it was another swipe by the president to "discredit" the mainstream media.

The President of the United States returned to Twitter Sunday afternoon to provide the world with his latest attack on the free press. Instead, they all make excuses for the inexcusable and attack the president as though he does not have his own free speech rights, as though the elite media is exempt from criticism.

The day of the Florida rally, CNN issued a correction of a report that had claimed that Donald Trump Jr. received advance notice about documents stolen from the Democratic National Committee in July 2016. Ross was suspended for four weeks with no pay. "You should have been apologizing for the last two years", Trump said to laughter and cheers at a rally in Florida.

"Fake News CNN made a vicious and purposeful mistake yesterday", Trump tweeted on Saturday morning before tweeting about Weigel's photo. He's far better at his job than Trump could ever be. "You know what he cost people?" the president said. "Analyses of news footage showed that fewer people attended Mr. Trump's inauguration than President Barack Obama's in 2009".
