Antonio Brown Among Steelers Planning To Wear Ryan Shazier-Themed Cleats

Shazier, the Steelers' star linebacker, suffered a serious injury in Pittsburgh's win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday.

Schefter also reported sources told him doctors are controlling and limiting Shazier's movement as they wait for the swelling and bruising to subside.

It is premature to say whether Shazier will play football again, but the focus right now is not on his playing career but on trying to facilitate his recovery.

Internet Advocates Gather in Fayetteville to Protest Net Neutrality
These net neutrality rules were passed in 2015, and have broad support from groups ranging from civil liberty organizations to internet giants like Google.

The Steelers have not updated his status since Thursday's surgery announcement, but his season is over and the team says it is concerned exclusively about his short- and long-term health. Already we know a few Steelers players are planning their own tributes to Shazier with wideout Antonio Brown and defensive back Mike Hilton donning custom cleats for their injured teammate. National Football League rules, though, only allow them during warmups.

One yellow cleat features Shazier's face, while the other has a picture of a lion, which Shazier has used on social media on numerous occasions. The cleats are adorned with Shazier's likeness and the hashtag "Shalieve" so even though he physically won't be present for the game, he'll have his presence felt. Shazier remained of the ground after the hit and pointed to his back before he was carted off the field. He was a Pro Bowler last season and is leading Pittsburgh in tackles this year.
