Miles Morales Swings into Action in Animated Spider-Man Trailer

If you're unfamiliar with the term "Spider-Verse", it was a comic book event that launched in 2014 and saw every incarnation of Spider-Man from various Marvel universes all coming under attack by the villain Morlun and his estranged family the Inheritors.

Given their hit-or-miss track record - along with their tendency to milk their existing IPs for all they're worth, it's been hard to get truly excited about the possibilities for the character.

The film, titled Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will focus primarily on Miles Morales, a half-black, half-latino teenage boy who rises as a hero after the death of Peter Parker in the comics.

WikiLeaks info email sent to Trumps
CNN earlier this year forced the resignation of three staffers over a retracted report about Trump associate Anthony Scaramucci. The email offered a decryption key and web address for a cache of hacked documents WikiLeaks possessed.

The 80-second trailer opens with a hooded figure moving through the snow of New York City, visiting the grave of Peter Parker, then swinging awkwardly through skyscrapers with the tagline "More than one wears the mask".

As noted in the trailer's YouTube description, the duo are attempting to "bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that's the first of its kind". We already know this movie stands apart from the MCU. Marvel's Spider-Man is now swinging towards an early 2018 release date, and rest assured we will have more coverage on the game the closer we get to release.
