Suspect, 2 students dead in New Mexico high school shooting

Three people are dead and more than a dozen others are injured after a gunman opened fire at New Mexico's Aztec High School Thursday morning.

The San Juan County Sheriff's Office told KRQE-TV that deputies were working to evacuate students to safety and were searching the school buildings.

The families of the victims have been notified and none of the dead have yet been identified, the Farmington Daily Times reported.

Conyers has remained hard headed through this all, denying the allegations, while his lawyer criticized the alleged victims . Grubbs also claimed that Conyers "walked out of his bathroom, knowing she was in the room", when they were at his house.

"Right now everybody is on lockdown", a statement from Bloomfield Police Department says.

According to another news outlet citing Aztec Police Chief Mike Heal, two people plus the shooter were shot, but did not specify whether the two people shot were students or adults.

Aztech High School students were taken to another area to meet their parents. Parents are advised to please stay away from all of the schools until further notice.

Aztec High School is about 180 miles northwest of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
