Rays Negative on Curry's Sprained Ankle; MRI to Come

Stephen Curry left the Warriors locker room on crutches Monday night after twisting his ankle in the final minute of Golden State's win over the Pelicans.

That's a scary injury no matter who it is, so Curry nearly appeared relieved when X-rays came back negative and he was diagnosed with a right ankle sprain.

Curry was dealing with a right hand contusion through the last four games, but this can prove an injury much more hard to recover from, as it impedes his lateral mobility and the explosion off his right foot.

This is the same ankle Curry had two surgeries on earlier in his career and shortened his 2011-12 season.

San Marcos officer fatally shot while serving arrest warrant
"Along with everyone learning of a San Marcos police officer's murder today, I am deeply troubled and saddened", Paxton said. San Marcos police officer Kenneth Copeland died Monday afternoon while serving an arrest warrant in a violent crime case.

Nevertheless, it is never good to see a superstar go down like this. X-rays came back negative but the MRI results should provide owners with a sense of a timeline for Curry's return. "Obviously a sucky situation, but I'll be back", Curry said.

The Warriors are first in the National Basketball Association in points per game, field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage.

"That I had to call my dad and tell him I can't play golf tomorrow in Charlotte.Nah, just playing", Curry joked. Got caught on E'Twaun's shoe as I went by him and couldn't catch myself. This looks like the loss, even without Curry playing.
