John Mayer Has Been Hospitalised For An Emergency Appendectomy

Musician John Mayer was hospitalized early Tuesday to undergo an emergency appendectomy, according to an announcement from his bandmates in Dead & Company.

The guitarist is touring with The Dead and Company.

An appendectomy is the surgical removal of the appendix and is often performed as an emergency procedure when the patient is suffering from appendicitis.

Apparently, all of the purchased tickets will still be honored at the postponed date that is yet to be announced. Along with John, Dead & Company consists of Grateful Dead's Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir, as well as Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.

The band was scheduled to play a show Tuesday night in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, MPR News reported that many people were angered at Keillor's dismissal and dozens planned to cancel their memberships. This is pure absurdity, and the atrocity it leads to is a code of public deadliness. "So this is poetic irony of a high order".

The group is in the second leg of its 2018 tour, and has shows slated for Thursday and Friday in Florida, as well as a string of dates in Mexico in February.

No word yet on whether Mayer's condition will have an impact on that show.

Dead and Company took to social media to officially announce the news of the singer's appendectomy as well as update the fans on his upcoming performance.

Get well soon, John!
