Bungie Fixes Destiny 2's Rigged XP System Only After Getting Caught

Bungie has announced that a free trial for Destiny 2 on PS4 will be available on Tuesday November 28, ahead of the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion a week later. However, instead of leveling up, you will receive a "Bright Engram" each time you fill the XP bar all the way. We are not happy with the results, and we've heard the same from the community.

Along with the related campaign missions and opportunity to explore "two full worlds", trial players will be able to join clans and take part in competitive multiplayer combat in the Crucible via the Quickplay list. Coupled with the community outrage over the issue, the studio immediately deactivated it at the end of last week so you should already see the changes in your recent gameplay sessions. Any additional updates to this system will be communicated to you via our official channels. As Destiny 2 launched there were licensed tie-in merchandise (Pop-Tarts!) that came with things like XP boosters and the Eververse store also sells consumable, time-limited boosters called Fireteam Medallions and knowing that Bungie was stealing back XP earned, that effectively means these real-money purchases they were stealing back as well. Perhaps it's nothing at all!

Eight donkeys jailed for eating flowers outside prison
They had reportedly munched their way through 500,000 Indian ruppees (around £5,800) worth of plants left outside. Kamlesh didn't restrain them and the donkeys apparently loved the change from the daily fare they were fed.

While a positive change, even this move has been met with some controversy. Bungie then responded with a post that said a system was set in place to prevent players from farming specific events.

Smith tweeted that the "systems side" of next month's update includes changes to the economy, which covers the game's many vendors; a new reward system for weapons and armor; and overall gameplay updates.
