Actor James Woods witnesses, tweets Vegas robbery

Las Vegas police are still searching for a man who robbed the Bellagio poker room cashier cage at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The attack happened just after 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Las Vegas Strip property, a Las Vegas Metro Police statement reported. South, on reports of the robbery, Metropolitan Police Department officer Jay Rivera said.

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Capt. John Pelletier said another person accompanied the robber in the vehicle, but Pelletier said it appeared the person was there "against his will".

He said the robber committed the crime alone, but also said another person accompanied him in a vehicle.

The robbery remains under investigation and further details were not immediately available, Hadfield said. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber is still at large but police later found the auto.

John Pelletier said the man was wearing a wig, glasses and had partially masked his face at the time of the theft. "He is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, between 5' 7" and 5' 9" tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

"@Bellagio staff were fantastic".

Police in Las Vegas say they are looking for an armed suspect who fled from the Bellagio casino-resort after he demanded money from a cashier area. Nobody even realized it was happening.

Woods said the "excellent staff" were "cool under pressure".

"We are working with Metro as they investigate this incident", MGM Resorts International, which owns the Bellagio, said on Twitter.
