Jay-Z, Bruno Mars Lead Grammy Nominees In Top Categories

The artist receiving the most nominations was Jay-Z. Bruno Mars had six nominations, and Childish Gambino, Khalid, SZA and No I.D. While JAY-Z leads in nods with a total of eight nominations in multiple categories, hip-hop is still prominent throughout the entire list. Khalid was recognized for collaborating on Logic and Alessia Cara's socially conscious single "1-800-273-8255", which earned nominations for song of the year and music video.

For album of the year, Jay-Z and Lamar face Mars' "24K Magic", Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love!" and Lorde's "Melodrama".

Notably absent is Sheeran, whose tropical-tinged song "Shape of You" has been one of this year's biggest hits.
