Android Oreo arrives to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

The OxygenOS 5.0 comes embedded with features from the Android O (Oreo 8.0).

The debate continues as to why new Android smartphones doesn't land with the latest operating system.

Long story short, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are already getting Android 8.0 Oreo, while the newer OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T are stuck with Android Nougat until 2018. But, it's great to see old phones like the OnePlus 3 and 3T receiving the latest OS providing intuitive user experience. The new Oreo update brings a lot of new feature to your device as people are claiming that the Oreo update is the most advanced Android update till date.

The company during the OnePlus 5T keynote had promised that the new smartphone will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo open beta by end of December. After that the company will make the OnePlus 5T available through flash sales beginning from November 28. There is also Auto-fill and Smart text selection. Just after five months after OnePlus 5's launch, OnePlus incorporated pretty much the same innards to its 5T smartphone. Unfortunately, OnePlus even confirms that this Android Oreo 8.0 based update will be the last software update for the 2016 flagship phones (OnePlus 3 series) from the company. Before you download the update, it is recommended that you connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
