Broadcast your voice to Google speakers around your house with Google Assistant

The refreshed Google Home app makes it easier for you to find some of your favorite movies, shows and music. You can now also adjust settings like bass and treble on speakers with Google Assistant built in, like Google Home and Google Home Mini.

If you want to broadcast from your phone to Google home, you need to open up Google Assistant on your phone and say "Broadcast I'm on the way home". With the help of this update, one can use the Google Home devices as an intercom system. IN the meantime, we can also expect additional features to get rolled out as hinted by Google in its announcement last month. All these Google Home devices have to be on the same Wi-Fi network, and at least one member of your household has to sign into their Goole account on each of the Google Home devices. Initially, it's available only in English and to residents in the United States, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. It is appealing to finally have an object which listens to you and does as you say.

It can be useful for the everyday routine of waking up on time or eating dinner. You can broadcast custom messages, or have the Assistant announce automated "playful messages" and sounds. For instance, if you tell Google Assistant "OK Google, broadcast it's dinner time", the Assistant will ring a virtual dinner bell on all of your Google Home units. This new broadcast function allows you to send a message to every Assisted powered speaker at that location.
