Black Friday 2017: When will stores open?

Black Friday 2017: When will stores open?

Best Buy released its Black Friday deals on November 8 and is making many of them - including discounts on Apple Watches and iPads - available early from now until Saturday, November 11.

Hours: JC Penny has not yet announced its store hours, but deals will last November 23-Dec. 24.

The Walmart Black Friday 2017 hours start on Thanksgiving Day. And while some retailers like Walmart have been open on Thanksgiving for decades, more are following suit to pursue consumers who want to start browsing and spending in between the turkey and pumpkin pie.

However, store openings are optional on Thanksgiving - so some retailers may not be open. It is also eliminating some of the crowd-control measures it has used in the past, such as handing out wristbands for the most in-demand deal items.

The only competition to unseat Georgia was Alabama, which defeated LSU 24-10. The College Football Playoff selection committee ranked the Tigers No. 10.

Office Depot and OfficeMax stores won't be open on Thanksgiving.

According to Melissa Martin of BlackFriday.com, the recent trend toward online shopping and e-commerce will continue to have a major impact on Black Friday, with some retailers offering online deals earlier in the week to try and beat the competition. New this year: Stores will close that night at midnight and reopen Friday at 6 a.m.
