Jose Mourinho Calls for Manchester United Transfer Backing Amid PSG Interest

United now sit second in the Premier League table, but Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea left them eight points adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City, who also spent big money during the summer.

The former Monaco forward has only started once this season as he has shared duties with Marcus Rashford.

His aim seems exclusively to be to frustrate his opponents, hope to make it to half time level and then maybe consider trying to nick a win late on or, more often than not, simply look to shut the game down at 0-0.

So you can make the case on either side about Mourinho has been given/not been given.

Unfortunately, the same can not be said about today's Manchester United, under the pragmatic and self-proclaimed "special one", Jose Mourinho. Even though his wish to sign a fourth player wasn't fulfilled, it must be said that he got full "transfer market backing".

"I know my team can not score four, five or six every match". "If I'm with the squad, you'll see I'm one of the first to have a laugh".

But the Department of Homeland Security already warned in its statement that a termination of the programme was "possible". Immigration officials regularly decide whether to renew the programme every six to 18 months for each country.

These words are music to United fans. "It's up to me to continue putting in good performances, and if I do that, I think I'll play a bit more". But outside of that, I'm reserved; I don't show my emotions too much. We have to try to find balances and I'm really happy with what the team is doing.

There's no doubt that Martial and Rashford are two of the most talented prospects in Europe.

Almost halfway through his three-year contract, United sit second in the Prem and are all but through to the knockout stages of the Champions League. With Mourinho opting to field a defensive lineup, Martial has found himself out of the starting eleven more often than not this season.

Mourinho is now willing to use that link as a bargaining chip to get more funds of his own at United, although he still may have to offload players in order to do that.

At the time he admitted he wouldn't finish his career with United, adding: "The other day, my son who lives in London went to Paris and not to Manchester to watch the match".
