Brock Osweiler's strong start didn't last long

Brock Osweiler is so bad he can't even quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, who are now paying him to play for the Denver Broncos.

Osweiler completed 19 of 38 passes for 208 yards.

Joseph said last week that naming his starting quarterback for the Broncos' next game, against the Patriots, would be easy if Osweiler played well against the Eagles.

The Denver Broncos are apparently sticking with quarterback Brock Osweiler under center, according to a Monday afternoon report from Mike Klis of 9News.

Osweiler assumed starting duties this past weekend after the Broncos made a decision to bench Trevor Siemian.

Lebanese PM resigns fearing life threat
Lebanese President Michel Ayoun will likely take the reins of the government until a new one can be formed. Hariri allies in Lebanon have denied suggestions that he had been detained.

The Eagles answered the Broncos' opening-drive field goal by scoring 10 points on their first two drives.

However, Joseph did not declare a starter for Sunday night against the Patriots at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.

This weekend's start against New England could be Osweiler's final chance to prove himself as a full-time starter in the NFL. The Patriots have lost three of their past five games against the Broncos, and all three of the losses were in Denver.

Any hope that Osweiler's promotion to the starting role would be enough of a catalyst to jump-start a dead offense faded quickly. That win helped Denver clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC on their way to a Super Bowl win.
