IOS 11.1 Brings Bug Fixes and New Emoji

The update to iOS 11.1 weighs in at 311.3 MB and still AWOL are Apple Pay Cash and AirPlay 2.

You'll now be able to send all of the "zombie" and "vomit" emojis you want.

The first major update for iOS 11 since the firmware was released last month is now rolling out. Anyway, as for what it brings, you can expect new Unicode 10 emoji, like a pretzel, pie, insane face, t-rex, vampire, exploding head, shush face, vomiting face, love you gesture, and brain.

You can get the iOS 11.1 update either in Settings General Software Update or via iTunes.

In the associated release notes, Apple highlights the addition of over 70 new emoji, along with fixes to photo handling, accessibility, and an assortment of other issues. Getting back to the emoji for a second, if used in an email or text, the recipient of the missive must also have iOS 11.1 installed to see the image correctly.

I find Apple's update process to be very frustrating.
