Far Cry 5 Does Have Co-op After All

In an interview published on Official PlayStation Magazine UK (issue #142, December 2017), Ubisoft's Game Director Dan Hay explained that the development team strived to retain the sanctity of a single player story, something that's far from a given in a co-op mode.

When it comes to the Far Cry games, Ubisoft has always tried to include some form of co-op. Essentially, the trailer is showing off the fact that Far Cry 5 won't feature "lite" co-op, but will feature a co-op friendly campaign.

In addition to the "Friends for Hire" feature, the host player can still recruit "Guns for Hire" and "Fangs for Hire" giving players and advantage during the game. As fanatical members of the Project work to cut off Hope County from the rest of the world, it's up to you and a select few to start a resistance group and drive the cult back to where they came from.

Police were called to an Austin neighborhood at 6:12 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of multiple people being shot. The suspect, who had not been identified as of this writing, also received medical treatment for unspecified injuries.

Far Cry 5 won't have a competitive multiplayer mode like several previous entries, but at least it will have a fully fleshed cooperative multiplayer mode, a first for the franchise.

Far Cry 5 is arriving on PlayStation 4 on February 27, 2018, and co-op play will require that both players have PlayStation Plus memberships.

"All earned experience and inventory items, excluding quest-based items, will carry over following each co-op session".
